Protecting What Matters Most

For many people, a vehicle doubles as a mobile office, travel hub, or gear locker. Laptops, cameras, hard drives, wallets, and other valuables often remain inside while running errands, visiting the gym, or spending time outdoors. Unfortunately, these items can become easy targets when left unsecured.

BoostedSafe was created to address this everyday concern. The company’s mission is clear: to protect what matters most by securing valuables, supporting secure transport of sensitive items, and helping protect families and communities through proper storage practices.

By focusing specifically on vehicle-based security, BoostedSafe aims to provide practical solutions that fit naturally into modern lifestyles.

The Story Behind BoostedSafe

BoostedSafe was founded by entrepreneur and product designer Skyler Baird, whose personal experiences shaped the direction of the company.

As a child, Skyler witnessed the impact of a vehicle break-in when his father’s truck was burglarized and important personal items were stolen. Years later, while working in video production, he often carried equipment worth thousands of dollars. Like many professionals, he sometimes needed to leave gear in his car but found existing solutions bulky, inconvenient, or difficult to use.

The breakthrough came from an unexpected source. After observing how securely a child’s booster seat attaches to a vehicle using standardized ISOFIX or LATCH anchor points, Skyler began experimenting with ways to apply the same concept to a secure storage device.

After developing prototypes, personally funding early patents, and launching a successful crowdfunding campaign, BoostedSafe entered the market and continued refining its designs based on customer feedback. The result was a vehicle safe designed to resemble a booster seat and remain secured to the vehicle until the safe itself is unlocked.

The BoostedSafe Elite: Designed for Everyday Use

One of the company’s flagship products is the BoostedSafe Elite, a vehicle-mounted safe designed to securely store common valuables such as laptops, cameras, and personal belongings.

A defining feature of the BoostedSafe Elite is its attachment system, which integrates with the factory-installed ISOFIX or LATCH anchor points found in every passenger vehicle manufactured since 2002. These anchor points are originally made for child safety seats and are engineered to withstand significant force during vehicle collisions. By utilizing these existing anchor points, the BoostedSafe Elite provides a stable installation without requiring permanent vehicle modification.

The safe is designed to accommodate items such as:

  • Laptops up to approximately 16 inches
  • DSLR cameras and accessories
  • Wallets, cash, and small electronics
  • Personal items that travelers may not want to carry at all times

Its form factor allows it to remain discreet inside a vehicle, helping reduce attention compared to more obvious storage methods.

How BoostedSafe Differs from Traditional Vehicle Safes

Many traditional vehicle safes rely on cable systems or small lockboxes that can be removed or cut free with tools. Others are limited in size, making it difficult to store larger everyday items like backpacks or camera gear.

BoostedSafe focuses on three key priorities:

  1. Secure attachment using built-in vehicle anchor points
  2. Practical capacity suitable for common travel gear and valuables
  3. Ease of installation without permanent vehicle modifications

By centering its design around how people actually use their vehicles, the company aims to provide a solution that is both functional and accessible.

BoostedSafe also emphasizes responsible storage practices, particularly for individuals transporting sensitive or valuable items, including personal protection devices.

A Product Developed Through Real-World Feedback

From its earliest crowdfunding campaign to its current direct-to-consumer business model, BoostedSafe has relied heavily on customer input. Feedback from early backers helped shape product refinements, materials, and usability improvements.

Today, the company continues to focus on iterative design, product testing, and improving the overall user experience while maintaining its core goal of helping people secure their belongings during everyday travel.

What Customers Are Saying

Customer feedback highlights the importance of build quality and thoughtful design. One customer, Tom C., shared:

“Overall the quality is excellent. The safe is even heavier and more solid than I expected. The cover is beautifully made.”

Testimonials like this reflect the company’s emphasis on durability and attention to detail.

The Growing Need for Practical Security Solutions

As people increasingly carry expensive electronics and important personal items, the need for convenient and reliable storage options continues to grow. Whether commuting, traveling, or spending time outdoors, many individuals want a way to secure belongings without carrying everything with them at all times.

BoostedSafe addresses this need by focusing on integrated vehicle security solutions that are designed to be discreet, practical, and easy to use.

Looking Ahead

BoostedSafe remains focused on expanding its product line and continuing to refine its designs. With founder Skyler Baird still closely involved in product development and strategy, the company continues to explore ways to improve vehicle-based security while maintaining its mission of protecting people, families, and the belongings that matter most.
