Radiant Malas was founded in 2018 in Boulder, Colorado, by longtime friends Kim Richter and Kate Kellogg. As busy mothers with shared interests in yoga, meditation, and mindful living, they were searching for tools that could realistically support presence and calm in their daily lives. Drawn to the tradition of malas but unable to find pieces that felt both unique and beautiful, they began making their own.
What started as a personal practice quickly resonated with others. Friends noticed the craftsmanship, the feel of the stones, and the quiet sense of intention the malas carried. Requests followed naturally, and Radiant Malas grew from an authentic desire to share something that genuinely supported well-being in a modern, lived-in way.
